Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, The King of The Kingdom of Bahrain; the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities celebrated the legacy of the thinker Dr. Mohammed Jaber Al Ansari by commemorating his career and shedding light to his human, intellectual, ¬¬¬political and literary experience; as part of the Authority’s National Day Celebrations. This recognition highlights His Majesty’s deep apperception for national figures that have contributed to its modern renaissance and especially of Al Ansari’s intellectual, literary and cultural career given his contributions that have enriched the shelves of Arab libraries throughout the decades.
It is worth mentioning that Al Ansari is a prominent academic, a professor of Islamic civilizations and contemporary thought, is an advisor of cultural and scientific affairs to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and has been published extensively in Gulf and Arab newspapers. Al-Ansari provided a summary of his ideas, research and studies, derived through his 21 books, reflecting his intellectual focus on studying the superstructures of Arab society, offering his critique of Arab thought along with an examination of societal infrastructures in terms of reality and the political crises experienced in Arabian nations.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister, was in attendance of the opening ceremony alongside Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities and a number of prominent figures.
As part of the Ceremony, an exhibition entitled “A Word for Mankind: From the Life of the Thinker Mohammed Jaber Al-Ansari” was exhibited at the foyer of the Cultural Hall. It held a collection of Al-Ansari’s books, articles and photos and personal items. The exhibition was organized by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities in cooperation with the Al-Ansari family.
