Every year on February 25th, the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities celebrates Arab Tourism Day, which was launched by the Kingdom of Bahrain the year that Manama was declared the Capital of Arab Tourism in 2013. The 25th of February commemorates the birth of the Arab traveler Ibn Battuta.
This day has been chosen as the official start of the annual Spring of Culture Festival at the Bahrain National Theatre. However, due to the circumstances of the Covid-19 pandemic, and in order for our audiences to stay safe, we will celebrate with a beautiful line up on our digital platforms. We continue to share with our audience the wealth of music and creativity in honor of Arab Tourism Day and the bridges it has built and continues to build between Bahrain and other civilizations.
For a full week starting Thursday, February 25, 2021, we will present a series of international shows hosted by the Bahrain National Theatre and the Cultural Hall through our social media channels, (@CultureBah) on a daily basis, all which we have previously enjoyed during past Spring of Culture Festivals. Stay tuned for upcoming announcements via our social media channels and visit our YouTube channel (CultureBah) to watch all the events.
