The Delegation of the European Union, the French Embassy and the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities are organising the European Film Nights in Bahrain between the 26 and 29 of May. This would be the first such European film event organised in the Kingdom of Bahrain, aiming at facilitating cultural exchange and promoting European cinema.
For the first three nights, films from France, Germany/ Greece and Italy/Slovenia will be screened. The last night will be dedicated to six short films, both European and international, with a special focus on the climate crisis. A discussion on the short films, moderated by the Bahrain Cinema Club, will follow.
- 26 May: Short movies night followed by a discussion organised by the Bahrain Cinema Club
- 27 May: SISTERS APART (IM FEUER) by Daphne Charizani (Germany, Greece)
- 28 May: San Remo by Miroslav Mandic (Slovenja/Italy)
- 29 May: Les Parfums by Gregory Magne (2019) (France)
