Since its founding in 1983 under the leadership of His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairman of the National Council for the Arts and Honorary President of the Bahrain Arts Society, the society has been dedicated to organizing a wide range of distinguished exhibitions, both locally and internationally. This has been achieved by fostering artistic exchange and strengthening ties with fellow Arab nations.

Under the leadership of Sheikha Marwa bint Rashid Al Khalifa, the society has remained committed to honoring the work of Bahraini artists and showcasing their contributions to the local and global art scenes.

In February 2024, and in collaboration with the Kuwait Arts Association and the support of the Rashid bin Khalifa Foundation for Arts, the Bahrain Arts Society has participated in a joint exhibition featuring artists from both societies.

Believing in the importance of cultural exchange, the Bahrain Arts Society will also host a select group of artists from the Kuwait Arts Society in a joint exhibition at the Art Center in Bahrain.

It is worth noting that the Bahrain Arts Society held its inaugural exhibition in Kuwait in 1983, and it is a source of great pride to continue this longstanding cultural and artistic exchange with Kuwait.

This initiative reinforces the strong and ongoing collaboration between the two Gulf countries, further strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation across the region.
