Qalali Folk Band presents a selection of Bahrain’s most treasured traditional musical forms linked to the pearling economy, most notably the art of Fjiri, inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Through its distinctive rhythms and dances, the band has carried this art and other traditions from the village of Qalali in Muharraq to audiences across the region and around the world.
