H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammad Al Khalifa, Minister of Culture, received the outgoing Singaporean Ambassador Extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Bahrain ( with residence in Riyadh), Mr. Wong Kwok Bonn. The Minister reviewed with the envoy the advanced level of the outstanding friendly Bahrain-Singapore relations and praised his efforts to consolidate those ties in all fields, wishing him every success in his future diplomatic assignments. H.E hailed the strong cultural and tourism relationships between both countries, arguing that "Bahrain is deploying strenuous efforts to consolidate cultural and tourism relationships, especially during celebrations of Manama as the Capital of Arab Tourism".
They also highlighted Singapore's advanced experience in development and construction and discussed ways of bolstering cooperation in this field through intensifying exchanged visits between engineers in order to enhance joint coordination and exchange of expertise.
On his part, Singapore's Ambassador appreciated the Culture Ministry's efforts to develop and promote culture and tourism, reiterating his country's keenness to strengthen joint cooperation with Bahrain in all sectors and fields. He also wished Bahrain and its people further progress and prosperity.
