Culture Minister receives the Chairman of Bahrain Airport Company:
Bahraini Artists TV Documentary Productions discussed
As part of the close coordination and cooperation between different sectors, H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Minister of Culture, received Bahrain Airport Company Chief Executive Mohammed Yusef Al-Binfalah to discuss cooperation in the cultural field. The meeting comes as part of the to promote investment in culture and arts. During the meeting both sides reviewed the preparations being undertaking between the ministry and Bahrain International Airport to achieve effective cooperation to formulate the aspired vision with regards to celebrations of "Manama, Capital of Arab Tourism 2013".
The company extended full support to the Culture Ministry's documentary project which consists in producing forty reports on forty Bahraini fine artists that will be presented by Ahmed Zine who prepared and presented a number of programmes for various channels like LBC, Abu Dhabi and Al-Arabiya. The stories, creative works and their contributions in Bahrain’s modern art awakening will be narrated and broadcasted on these channels. The ministry of Culture will produce these documentaries, which would coincide with the 40th edition of the Annual Fine Arts Exhibition and 2014 “ Year of Art” programme.
It is worth mentioning that Bahrain Airport Company, which will sponsor the TV documentary series, is the authority responsible for operating and managing Bahrain International Airport as a world-class airport. As part of its' operator role, BAC is responsible for elevating the airport's infrastructure and services. This set to improve the Kingdom's aviation capabilities; and to cater for the growing number of passengers as well as the changing demands of the airport's stakeholders.
