Bahrain pavilion at Arabian Travel Market inaugurated

 

Arabian Travel Market (ATM) is the leading international travel and tourism show in the Middle East for both inbound and outbound tourism professionals from all over the world. It enables exhibitors for a face-to-face interaction with international buyers and travel professionals. The event offers an opportunity for visitors to learn about the latest trends, insights and innovations happening within the global industry along with seminars, debates and workshops during the four-day long event.

As the Kingdom of Bahrain hosts celebrations of Manama Asian Tourism City 2014, Assistant Undersecretary for Tourism, H.E Shaikh Khalid bin Hmood Al Khalifa inaugurated Bahrain's pavilion in the 11th edition of the Arabian Travel Market, in Dubai on May 5th 2014. The Culture Ministry's participation this year was rich and remarkable, especially after choosing Manama as Capital of Asian Tourism in 2014 and Arab Tourism Capital last year capital of Arabian tourism in 2013.

Bahrain's pavilion received visitors and provided them with a detailed account on Bahrain and its touristic sites. As part of its promotional plan, the pavilion also featured various programmes and functions by the Culture Ministry and Bahrain touristic institutions. H.E Shaikh Khalid bin Hmood Al- Khalifa announced that Bahrain by taking part this year in Dubai Arabian Travel Market (ATM), is lining up a series of activities to promote Bahrain Capital of Asian Tourism City 2014. among other topics discussed also, were ways and means of fostering efforts to enhance close interaction and concrete cooperation in the context of the bilateral interfaith and intercultural dialogues at the government and civil society level for the furtherance of peace, tolerance, and respect for religious and cultural diversity.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum,Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has launched Dubai’s new trade brand, which will be used in the global marketing and promotion of the emirate. This came during Sheikh Mohammed’s visit to the 21st Arabian Travel Market, which kicked off today at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) attracting 2,700 exhibitors from both government and private sectors‘ companies and entities specializing in travel, tourism and hospitality from the UAE and more than 80 countries around the world.
