H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, president of Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities (BACA), received the non-resident Kazakh ambassador to Bahrain, Bakyt Batyrshayev, and discussed with him ways of boosting bilateral cooperation and praising the outcome of the visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Kazakhstan last year which yielded many agreements in various fields.
During the meeting, H.E Shaikha Mai underlined the importance of further cementing cultural ties with Kazakhstan to shed light on both countries' heritage and civilizations, especially the exchange and cooperation in terms of art shows. H .E said that celebrating ‘Our Heritage, Our Wealth’ gives both countries the opportunity to enhance cooperation and develop common cultural and art events and exhibitions.
On his part, the Kazakh ambassador lauded the efforts of BACA to enrich the cultural scene in Bahrain, addressing an invitation to Shaikha Mai to visit Kazakhstan to get informed about cultural activities there. He also voiced keenness to boost cultural exchange through various functions. The Kazakh ambassador praised Shaikha Mai's efforts in enrichment of the cultural scene in the kingdom of Bahrain and abroad. He said that Shaikha Mai is one of the contemporary Arab cultural symbols who served and continue to serve Arab culture in numerous innovative ways and voiced his confidence that cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and Bahrain will flourish.
