As part of the kingdom of Bahrain’s efforts to use culture as a bridge to communicate between peoples and civilizations, H.E. Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa, president of Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities (BACA), received on 15 September 2015 the newly-appointed Bahraini ambassador to Russia Ahmed Sa'ati. H.E. discussed with him ways of boosting Bahrain's culture in Russia and bolstering cooperation between both countries, specifically in the cultural field.
H.E. congratulated the new ambassador on the precious Royal trust bestowed upon him, wishing him every success in assuming his diplomatic duties, stressing the important role played by ambassadors in projecting Bahrain's civilizational image worldwide. H.E. said, “Cultures based on mutual exchange is the bridge that never misses it path towards humanity's essence and through which desirable people-to-people communications can be achieved.”
H.E. underscored the importance of Bahraini - Russian bilateral relations in light of established historical relations and the importance of promoting them towards broader horizons in all cultural, economic, and trade fields in a way that benefits both countries. “This reflects the deep-rooted historical connection between the two peoples and their willingness to cooperate to achieve their common interests,” H.E. argued. Bahrain’s Authority for Culture & Antiquities (BACA) president added that Russia has always been present in the cultural scene in Bahrain through many art exhibitions, music concerts, ballets, and museum exhibitions.
