An imaginative art exhibition by Bahraini artist Ebrahim BuSaad was inaugurated on 16 March 2016 as part of the 11th edition of Spring of Culture Festival. His works were drawn over a period of 3 years and explore the basic themes of infidelity and betrayal all of which are inspired by the famously fickle nature of cats as well as the artist’s own memories of growing up in the close-knit community and unique architecture of Old Muharraq.

Bahrain’s Spring of Culture Festival presents an array of art exhibitions resulting in a colorful display of styles and techniques through different mediums of expression. An example of a magnificent art show is the 42nd Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition celebrating the creativity and ingenuity of the local Bahraini artists being held at the Bahrain National Museum.

The Bahrain National Museum still hosts ‘Magnificent Maharajah: Splendor of Indian Royal Costumes’ until the 15 April. Malluah’s exhibition is the first in a series of shows planned by the Spring of Culture this year.

Al Bareh Art Gallery, meanwhile, will host Rasmi Al-Khafaji’s exhibition ‘Other Homelands’ on March 1. Bin Matar House is hosting ‘Memory of the Place’ on April 17th which is a photo exhibition documenting Bahrain. A pair of exhibitions will take place at Al Riwaq Art Space. The first exhibition is ‘Identity Borders’, a group exhibition featuring the finalists of the 2015 Art Bahrain/The Nest Prize on March 5 and the other is a solo exhibition on April 5 by Ahmed Annan.

Featured international artists include Jordanian artist Dr. Khalid Khreis presenting his solo exhibition ‘Dialogue of the Dot’ on 24 March 2016 at the Art Center.
