H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa, President of Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities (BACA, received, on 15 January 2018, today world-renowned Egyptian Fine Artist and Sculptor Adam Henein, the honorary President of the 6th edition of Bahrain International Sculpture Symposium, being held at Bahrain National Museum, as part of festivities marking the Muharraq Capital of Islamic Culture 2018.
During the meeting, H.E said that Bahrain takes pride in honoring Adam Henein, one of the most prominent Egyptian and internationally-recognized sculptors. H.E added that BACA organizes Bahrain International Sculpture Symposium for those have a vocation for artistic creation and help young people to develop their talents without any restrictions, because it believes that the arts and culture represent one of the few areas in our society where artists from all over the world could meet and exchange cultural experiences.
Egyptian artist, Adam Henein, for his part, hailed Bahrain’s cultural dynamism, stressing BACA's role in promoting arts and culture, expressing delight at chairing the 6th Bahrain International Sculpture Symposium. The artist also that he is ready to use his expertise and energy about sculpture to ensure that all artists coming from all over the world could reach out successfully with the visitors and lovers of this art.
