The 9th edition of Ta’a al Shabab’ Festival kicks off on 1 February 2018 at Bu Maher Fort, Muharraq, under the slogan ( Tarmeez, Tadheeb, Tatweej) at 8:00 pm. The festival is supported and sponsored by Tamkeen. The access to Bu Maher Fort will be madce possible by Bus from 7pm-8pm and the meeting point is set at the Parking of the Bahrain National Museum).
The festival activities will be opened with an artistic presentation concert show titled “ By Mistake”, written by Khalid Al -Shaer and produced by Fahad Zeinal.
This year’s edition of the festival coincides with BACA’s celebrations of Muharraq as the Capital of Islamic Culture in 2018, whereby the Ta’a Shabab’s organizers will launch all their activities, events and workshops from Muharraq during the two weeks of the festival. The 9th edition will cover eight initiatives masterminded by the Ta’a youths; “ Muharraq Reads”, “Darayesh”, “Tashkeel”, “Technique”, “ Hayat”, Harmony”, “ Adwar” and Hafawa”.
The youth festival continues to attract its lovers and followers, preserving the legacy of this cultural project and injecting an innovation spirit every year; the young talented organizers have invented a new visual identity in a new iconic layout. the festival will continue giving young people hope and confidence, promising wider space for experimentation and a platform for all tastes, trends and colours.
It is worth mentioning that "Ta'a Al Shabab", is a cultural project that was founded by the late Mohammed Al-Banki, who believed and adopted new creative young dynamic cultural activities and events. Later these proejcts were carried and materialized by H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammad Al Khalifa. Ta’a al Shabab symbolizes continuity and was endorsed ever since by Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, shedding light every year on new initiatives and themes, ranging from art world , intellectual creative minds, media and other fields. This year’s edition will run until 18 February. Free to public, except participation in the workshops, which requires an previous registration.
