Dar Al-Riffa Al-Oda hosted a series of musical concerts that highlighted the rich tapestry of Bahraini folk music on 3 March 2018, as part of the 13th edition of Spring of Culture Festival. The concert support the Dar Al-Riffa Al-Oda’s objective to conserve and rehabilitate the existing original building in the old neighborhood of East Riffa and extend the neighboring plot to accommodate a larger performance hall and residency spaces, with the ultimate aim of enhancing Riffa’s intangible heritage and the folk singing specific to that area. Dar al Riffa will host traditional Bahraini music concerts gain on 17 March, 14 & 28 April 2018 at 8:00 pm. Free admission.
The 13th edition of Spring of Culture Festival coincides this year with celebrations program marking Muharraq as Capital of Islamic Culture 2018 prepared by Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities. This annual event is organized with the Economic Development Board and Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammad Al Khalifa Center for Culture & Research, in collaboration with Albareh Art Gallery and La Fontaine Gallery. The 13th edition of the Spring of Culture, which will run for two months from February to April 2018, will present an array of colorful and exceptional events and magical evenings that cover everything from archaeology to culture and art, with families to choose between variety of shows and performances by professional artists in various venues across the Kingdom of Bahrain.
