H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, the President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, BACA, received, on 14 March 2018, Lebanese Ambassador to Bahrain H.E Dr. Milad Nammour.
H.E Shaikha Mai welcomed her guest and stressed the importance of maintaining the strong relations between Bahrain and Lebanon, lauding the cultural relations between the two countries, which, have yielded many diverse cultural activities. H.E also informed the Lebanese ambassador about BACA’s activities in 2018, including the celebration of Muharraq as the Capital of Islamic Culture 2018 , the current Spring of Culture Festival events and Bahrain’s International Book Fair, whose details are to be announced in a press conference on 18 March 2018, at the Khalifiya Library, Muharraq. The book fair will feature a number of Lebanese publication houses and around 400 others from across the world.
The Lebanese ambassador, for his part, praised Bahrain's cultural and heritage momentum, stressing his country's keenness to boost relations with Bahrain mainly in the cultural field.
