Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities continues to receive participations at “ Culture Tourism Passport” until 30 November 2018. Indeed, after the outstanding success of 2015 version, Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities is planning to launch the new updated version of “ Culture Tourism Passport” in 2018, in order to encourage citizens, residents and visitors to discover the hidden wonders and treasures of Bahrain’s historical and cultural civilizations, including the city of Muharraq, Capital of Islamic Culture 2018.
The guide-like document features a map detailing 18 of the city’s most iconic and historical landmarks, monuments and cultural sites, which passport holders can “tick off” by receiving a stamp from staff when they visit each of the attractions. After visiting all the locations, passport holders have until November 30 at 8:00 pm to submit their completed document to Bahrain National Museum’s Reception. Those who complete the journey by visiting all of the 18 sites will enter a raffle. The Cultural passports can be picked up from Al Khalifiyah Library from 9:00am-5:00pm, Archaeologies of Green Pavilion Expo Milan 2015, near Shaikh Isa Bin Ali Al-Khalifa’s House, from 10:00 am-5:00 pm, or Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Centre for Culture and Research., from 8:00 am-13:00 pm and from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm.
The raffle winners announcement is scheduled during Bahrain’s celebrations of National Day on 18 December, a day celebrated as the Arabic Language Day, at the Regional Center for Arab World Heritage. The competition is open to both Bahrainis and non-Bahrainis.
