H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, received on 25 September 2018, the Chief Executive Officer of Al-Baraka Banking Group, Mr Adnan Ahmed Abdul Malik . The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation in order to implement joint projects that enrich the cultural scene in Bahrain.
H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammad welcomed Mr Adnan Ahmed Abdul Malik , thanked him for his continuous support to BACA' s projects and briefed him on the cultural movement in Bahrain and the authority's programme. H.E also lauded Al-Baraka Banking Group’s support for culture, noting that the Bank’s sponsor and support efforts as part of the "Invest in Culture" initiative, launched more than ten years ago, have led to the development and establishment of many cultural infrastructure projects. H.E also praised the constructive continuous cooperation between Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities and Al-Baraka Banking Group, expressing thanks to Mr. Abdul Malik for his unwavering support for BACA’s projects, such as Shaikh Salman Bin Ahmad Al-Fatih Fort Lightning and Al-Khamis Mosque projects.
H.E briefed Al-Baraka Banking Group about the latest cultural events orchestrated by BACA, its agenda to celebrate Muharraq as the Capital of Islamic Culture 2018 and the inauguration ceremony of Pearling Path Visitor Center, a UNESXCO World Heritage List site, scheduled during the Extraordinary Islamic Conference of Culture Ministers in Manama, on 28-29 November 201, which is under the High Patronage of under the High Patronage His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, May God Protect Him.
Mr Adnan Ahmed Abdul Malik , Al-Baraka Banking Group, For his part, lauded the landmark cultural and tourism achievements attained by Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, lauding BACA's role in boosting the kingdom's status on the regional and international cultural map. Mr Adnan Ahmed thanked H.E Shaikha Mai for her tireless efforts to enhance the local cultural movement, affirming EDB’s constant readiness to cooperate with BACA in delivering artistic, literary and intellectual activities that would attract visitors and residents.
