The 27th Bahrain International Music Festival presented, on 23 October 2018, an amazing music concert by the talented artist Natacha Atlas at the Cultural Hall. The concert was organized by Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, in cooperation with the French Embassy in Bahrain. 


The audience and the public present at the Cultural Hall that night travelled to wonderful lands of magic rhythms flying to fairy land of oriental music charm. It was an unforgettable showcase of contemporary transcultural music by the exceedingly talented Belgian artist Natacha Atlas and her band of distinguished musicians, known for her fusion of Arabic and Western music, particularly hip-hop, electro, French songs and rap music interpretation. The exceedingly talented Belgian artist Natacha Atlas and her band of distinguished musicians, magically performed the oriental version of “ Mon Amie La Rose” by the famous eternal French singer, Françoise Hardy. Indeed, the legendary Atla’s performance she has been influenced by many styles including Maghrebain, hip-hop, drum and bass and reggae to create an irresistible fusion.

Bahrain International Music Festival will continue to surprise his lovers offering them a varied music events at different cultural venues; On 25 October 2018, the Cultural Hall will welcome Moroccan artist Nabyla Maan, who will take the audience on a musical journey that explores how traditional Arab Andalusian music meets jazz improvisation. The Cultural will end its festive music concerts on 26 October with distinguished Syrian singer Waed Bouhassoun. Bahrain National Museum, in collaboration with the Office of Her Royal Highness Wife of the HM King of Bahrain, will host, On 24 October, a marvelous evening of music on the occasion of album launch of “Traditional Bahraini Women’s Songs – Orchestral Works”, a cultural project in which renowned Bahraini composer Dr. Mubarak Najem.

Bahrain 27th International Music Festival programme will end in the city of Muharraq where Dar Al Muharraq will host on 27 October 2018 at 7:00pm, “The Art of Women’s Songs”, the immensely rich heritage of local women’s song is showcased in this lecture by Bahraini academic and researcher Jassim bin Harban along with a live show.
As part of2018 Bahrain 27th International Music Festival’s programme,” Syncopation” exhibition will be open for the public until 31 October 2018.
