Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities continues to present its weekly cultural rendez-vous, “5.00 P.M At Bab” activities and events, which are aimed at attracting all residents and Bahrainis to enjoy their week-ends. Registration for participation in the workshop is open for those (18 years and above) via BACA’s website : www.culture.gov.bh.
The workshop will introduce participants to Ebru, a Turkish tradition that dates back to the Ottoman empire at the beginning of the 16th century. It is an art form where you paint directly on the surface of water. This workshop will introduce participants to the basics of “Ebru”, participants will paint directly on water followed by placing a paper to absorb the dye, resulting in the creation of a unique painting.
Worth to mention“5.00 P.M At Bab events coincides with the 14th edition of Spring of Culture Festival, which will run until end of April. Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities organizes, in the heart of the iconic Bab Al-Bahrain, this cultural program to create an attractive mesmerizing environment for all sorts of artistic and cultural activities, as well as rehabilitating this iconic area of Bab al Bahrain.
