The Japanese Archaeological Mission Lecture, Wadi al Sail Latest Discoveries Unveiled

 

Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, keen to enhance public awareness about the importance of archaeological excavations carried out in Bahrain,  will hold  a lecture at Bahrain National Museum, on 6 February 2019 at 6:00 pm. The lecture will shed lights on the latest discoveries made at Wadi-al Sail archaeological site by the Japanese Archeological Mission. 

Dr. Takeshi Gotoh, the Head of the Japanese Archaeological Mission, will introduce and give a presentation about the mission’s efforts  active efforts and progress their excavations at Wadi al-Sail, an Early Bronze Age or Early Dilmun period graveyard in Bahrain, since 2015. This lecture aims at presenting the results of this five-seasons’ project in order to give a scientific explanation  of  the characteristics of Early Dilmun’s society. This lecture will also give details about the burial mounds dating back to the Early Bronze Age, as well as, a scientific explanation of this Dilumn society through many discovered artifacts.

Worth to mention that Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities had previously organized a  field visit tour to Wadi Al-Sail burial mounds, on 1 February 2019. The aim of the visit was to discover the results of the archaeological excavations of the Japanese team, made up of experts, specialists in excavations and archeological h eritage research, at Wadi Al-Sail site.
