The Final curtain fell on the Japanese “The Taiko ensemble, “MIYAB” shows on 4 March 2019 at the Cultural Hall, where the group presented an amazing two successive concerts, adding more colors to the fervent and vivid cultural activities and events of the 14th Edition of the Spring of Culture Festival. Both shows were organized by Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During two days, 3 & march 2019, the Cultural Hall audience had the best of times listening and watching a selection of Japanese music in which drums were used . The public attending the performances reacted passionately with the uplifting beats of the drums and were mesmerized by “The Taiko ensemble, “MIYAB, where the powerful sound of the Taiko is combined with other Japanese instruments such as Shinobue (Japanese flute). The group covers not only traditional Japanese tracks, but also extends their repertoire on modern, recent Pop music.
The 14th Edition of the Spring of Culture Festival, is running until April 2019 also coincides with BACA’s year-long dedication “Year of Celebrations 2019. Indeed, the festival offers a bouquet of a thousand flowers, ranging between amazing pulsating music, phenomenal performances, global talents to be hosted by cultural institutions, historical sites and iconic urban centers around the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The 2019 Spring of Culture’s Gold Sponsors include GFH Financial Group, National Bank of Bahrain, Tamkeen and Batelco, while Silver Sponsors include Alba, Bahrain Airport Company, Bahrain Duty Free, Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait, and Huawei, and supported by Gulf Air.
