Lecture On “Lyrics of Fidjeri Music” by Jassim Al Harban, At Qala’at al Bahrain Site Museum
As part of its cultural program, Bahrain’s Fort Site Museum, hosts a lecture on “ Lyrics of Fidjeri Music” by the Bahraini researcher Jassim bin Harban followed by a Sawt performance, on 22 October 2019 at 7:00pm. The lecture highlights the various styles of the uniquely Bahraini Fjiri tradition, a mystical genre that traces its roots back to the island’s glorious legacy of its world-famous pearling heritage were held.
Worth to mention that Qala'at Al-Bahrain Site Museum, was inaugurated in 2008 as part of “ Invest in Culture” initiative launched by H.E Shaikha Mai and sponsored by Arcapita bank. The museum periodically schedules a diversified program of lectures, workshops and many different events, in addition to the exhibition of artifacts and relics excavated at the site of Qala’at al Bahrain, the first Bahraini site to be inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage List in 2005.
