Bahrain Culture Authority Launches “Al Quds Cultural Days”, In celebration of the City’s authentic cultural heritage

 

Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, in cooperation with the Palestinian Ministry of Culture, and as part of the festivities celebrating “Al-Quds” as Capital of Islamic Culture 2019, organizes  “Al Quds Cultural Days” from 19 - 23 February, at the Qal’at Al Bahrain Site Museum. Free admission

The scheduled events are aimed to celebrate and shed lights on the genuine authentic heritage of al Quds al Sharif through a myriad of activities and events, reflecting a rich historical legacy and civilizational dialogue that includes art, literature, intellectual discussions and movie screenings.   

On Wednesday, 19th of February, the public is invited to enjoy  a photography Exhibition, titled “ A Tribute to Al Quds”, at 11:00 am  at the Museum’s Cafe. The same day will also witness a lecture on “Al Quds’s Manuscript & Palestinian National Archives; Challenges and Means of Preservation”, which will be  presented by Fawaz Salama & Aziz Al Assa, at 12:00 at the Museum’s Auditorium.

On Saturday, 22  February 2020, an  Evening of Poetry titled “Fragrance of Al Quds”, presented by Abdullah Mahmood Isa & Youssef Abdulaziz is scheduled to take place   at at the Museum’s Auditorium.

Finally, on Sunday 23 February 2020,  there will be a  two- movie screening events, figuring  “The Loner” at 7:00 pm  and “The Land of the Story” at 7:30pm, at the Museum’s Auditorium.

All lectures will be conducted in Arabic, and English subtitles will accompany the Arabic movie screenings.
