After Exquisite Art, Literature  and Cinema Events, Curtain Fell  on “ Al Quds Cultural Days”

Curtain fell on  “ Al Quds Cultural Days”, organized  by the Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, on 23 February 2020, at Qal’at Al Bahrain Site Museum, with a  two- movie screening events, figuring  “The Loner” and “The Land of the Story” at the Museum’s Auditorium.

The Movie “ Land of the Story”, directed by Rashid Masharawi, sheds light on the real life and the daily routine of the Old City, Al-Quds, through documenting the daily lives of Palestinians who live in the city of Al-Quds, their challenging hardship and the obstacles they face every day.  The movie reflects the blatant difficult social and economic realities of the city and its dwellers.  

Indeed, Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities,  in cooperation with Palestinian Ministry of Culture, and as part of the Capital of Islamic Culture 2019, launched “ Al Quds Cultural Days”, aimed to celebrate and shed lights on the genuine authentic heritage of al Quds al Sharif through a myriad of activities and events, reflecting a rich historical legacy and civilizational dialogue that includes art, literature, intellectual discussions and movie screenings.   

The program events included a photography Exhibition, titled “ A Tribute to Al Quds”, held at the Museum’s Cafe,  a lecture on “Al Quds’s Manuscript & Palestinian National Archives; Challenges and Means of Preservation”, which will be  presented by Fawaz Salama & Aziz Al Assa,  at the Museum’s Auditorium. In addition, the Lecture Hall within the Qal’at Al Bahrain Site Museum hosted  an evening of poetry entitled “Fragrance of Al Quds” by poets Abdullah Mahmood Isa and Youssef Abdul Aziz.
