A number of projects for beautification and afforestation of areas around Bahrain were discussed

 

Her Excellency Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, received at the authority’s headquarters, on 4 October 2020, His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Mubarak bin Dinah, CEO of the Supreme Council for the Environment, where the two parties discussed ways of cooperation in order to improve the beauty of the urban landscape of the cities of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The meeting discussed a number of projects for afforestation in various compounds, streets and places around Bahrain in order to increase the green areas, which can not only be beautiful additions to a city, but also improve our well-being in many ways. This is in line with BACA’s efforts to enhance the cultural infrastructure in the Kingdom of Bahrain. In addition, a detailed presentation by the Belgian landscape architect and Landscape-Planning Consultant, Mr. Bas Smets was also given during this meeting. 

Her Excellency Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa stressed the importance of coordinating efforts and merging endeavors for all parties in order to enhance the beauty of urban areas in the Kingdom. H.E   also praised the constructive and constant cooperation between the Culture Authority and the Supreme Council for the Environment, which will certainly yield fruitful results in terms of projects and achievements that raise Bahrain's position and its image regionally and globally.

Her Excellency thanked His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Mubarak bin Dinah for his efforts in preserving the originality of the components of the natural environment in the Kingdom and his strong determination to beautify the various regions, in a way that highlights Bahrain's national identity and reflects the heritage of its culture for all citizens, residents and visitors.
