Guitarist and musician Mario Reis presented, 24 October 2020, on the third evening of the 29th edition of the Bahrain International Music Festival, which was held next to the Qal’at al-Bahrain site, the artist and musician presented the drive-in audience with the most amazing gypsy music and impassioned vocals, as Reis took them on a sweet magic trip to the world of authentic Roma music.

Artist Mario Reis presented a group of the most famous gypsy songs that were famous around the world, such as “Bambogio”, “Bim Bim Maria”, “Folari”, “Alegria”, “Paella Mai”, “Djube Djuba” and others. The artist, dubbed “the Gypsy Man”, blends his charming talent between his love for guitar and travel. Mario Reis belongs to a long-standing family of Gypsies (Gypsies), and he sang the intro to the Latin series El Clon alongside Mexican actress Sandra Echeverria.

The festival continues to present its shows until the end of this month. On October 27, fans of Gulf countries ‘folklore will have a date with the Mohammed bin Faris Band for the art of Al Sout, Gulf vocal traditions, performing a number of Bahraini talented singing creations.  On 28 October, jazz will be celebrated with years of experience meshing jazz and modern musical styles, all of The Suspenders’ performances ooze an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere. The young Bahraini saxophonist Abdulla Haji will accompany the trio for this performance. On 30 October, the public will certainly love pop music concert by Barbaros Büyükakkan, a famous Turkish singer who is distinguished for his unique musical style. The final festival’s concert to take place on, 31 October will feature Egyptian singer Rehab Mutawa accompanied by the Bahrain Music Band for a nostalgic performance of the most beautiful genuine Arabic classical tunes. The concert is held in cooperation with the Egyptian Embassy in Bahrain. Singer Rehab Mutawa will present a sweet rhythm blend of the most beautiful original Arabic songs.

This year, the Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities is organizing the Bahrain International Music Festival in a different way, as the public can watch the drive-in concerts that are all held in parking lots of the Qal’at al-Bahrain Site Museum at 8:00 pm live while seated in their cars via their radio channels frequency (98.4 FM). The concerts will also be broadcast live on the radio channel frequency (98.4 FM) and on the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities channel on YouTube on (CultureBah), and will be recorded and broadcast later on Bahrain TV.

Indeed, Bahrain Culture Authority seeks to provide a different experience for the pioneers of the Culture Authority seeks to provide an experience that is different for the pioneers of the cultural movement in the Kingdom of Bahrain, with everyone’s safety being a top priority, with the necessary commitment and precautionary measures and preventive measures to limit the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid 19).
