H.E Shaikha Mai Receives Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council
Her Excellency Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, met with His Excellency Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Fattis Al Hajri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council, at the Bahrain National Museum today, on 16 February , 2021.
The meeting discussed a number of common issues, including joint infrastructure projects in the city of Muharraq and the Pearling Path, which the Culture Authority endeavor to complete this year. H.E Shaikha Mai lauded the excellent cooperation ties between the Sunni Awaqf Directorate and Bahrain Culture Authority with regard to multiple project, support for the public good and promotion of the Kingdom’s cultural and historical exceptional assets and achievements.
Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Fattis Al Hajri, for his part, highlighted the importance of encouraging and supporting the mechanisms and components of any cultural action in Bahrain, given the outstanding positive effects on society.
The meeting was followed by a tour guide visit to Bahrain National Museum and its exhibition halls, as well as reviewing the project blue print of Al-Fadhel Minaret mosque project in Manama, as part of “Arts from the Islamic World” Exhibition, which is currently hell at the museum.
