Korean Parlement President Visits Bahrain National Museum

 

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of South Korea His Excellency Mr. Park Byung-sug and a delegation of Korean parliamentarians visited the Bahrain National Museum, where they were received by Her Excellency Shaikha Hala bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Director General of Culture and Arts, and Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Director of Museums Department at the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities.

The Korean delegation was tour- guided and briefed on major permanent exhibitions hosted by museum, the magnificent halls and sections that display a selection of artifacts, and art masterpieces. The role played by Bahrain National Museum to enhance the cultural scene and movement, and how it is considered as a crucial tool to preserve Bahrain’s deeply-rooted history and heritage, was highlighted during this visit.

Members of the Korean delegation also praised Bahrain National Museum’s cutting- edge preservation and museology technology, its design and its urban characteristics, which are a combination of modern and traditional architectural elements. They also lauded the very refined exceptional world-class showcasing techniques of artifacts, equally similar to most famous international museums.
