H.E Shaikha Mai Receives South Korean Ambassador, H.E Last month tour visit and enhancing cooperation efforts highlighted

H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, received in her office today, Thursday, July 1, 2021, the Ambassador of South Korea, Mr. Hae Kwan Chung . This meeting comes as a continuation of efforts to enhance cooperation between the two friendly countries, which was launched by her Excellency’s tour to the Korean capital, Seoul, last month.

H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa said that the cultural relations between the two countries are increasingly growing, stressing that the continuous Korean cultural presence in Bahrain enriches the programs and activities of the Culture Authority. In addition, the meeting dealt with ways to enhance cooperation in many cultural fields, and topics of common interest, especially those related to World Heritage sites and the followed-up procedures.

H.E briefed the Ambassador on BACA’s latest projects, explaining that it launched the Bahrain Summer Festival earlier this month its virtual channels, as this reflects the Authority’s keenness to carry on its richly planned cultural seasons throughout the world despite all circumstances.
For his part, the Korean ambassador praised the cultural movement in the Kingdom and the cultural relations between the two countries, expressing his readiness to cooperate with the authority in order to achieve more joint projects that meet the aspirations of the peoples of South Korea and Bahrain.
