Bahrain Summer Festival Third Week Events
Educational activities, evenings of art and music from all around the Arab world
For its third week in a row, Bahrain’s 13th edition Summer Festival offers a variety of diverse cultural activities to be presented to audiences of all ages, such as challenging educational performances, art and music evenings and concerts by artists from Bahrain and the Arab world. Bahrain Summer Festival You Tube Channel, in cooperation with the Embassy of the State of Palestine in the Kingdom of Bahrain, will, indeed, animate and broadcast two educational programs produced by Palestine TV on July 18, 2021, the first to be broadcast at 5:00 p.m. entitled "Awlad Haretna” ( the People of our Neighborhood", in which children will learn about the heritage of the State of Palestine through tales, traditional popular recipes and foods, ancient collectibles and historical monuments. The program main protagonists are a group of puppetry dolls and small children playing diversified entertaining inter-acts. The second program will be broadcasted at 6:00 pm, and is entitled "The Wonders of Science" presenting various scientific information about seas, oceans, space, animals and plants, in addition to small scientific experiments, interacted by entertaining performances by the little creative minds of talented young children.
On July 20, Bahrain Summer Festival channel on YouTube, will broadcast a concert, organized in collaboration with the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the Kingdom of Bahrain, by Egyptian singer Rehab Metwai. The Egyptian artist who will be accompanied by the Bahrain Music Band, will revive sweet past memories in mesmerizing nostalgic performance of the most beautiful Arabic classical tunes.
Bahrain local traditional music will also be strongly represented in this annual gorgeous art and music festival via its You Tube channel, with performances by Muharraq -based Galali Folklore Band on 21 July, evoking songs, melodies and rhythms related to the authentic arts of seafaring. On July 22nd , the festival channel will host a concert by the Mohammed bin Faris band, which is one of the most important folk bands in the Kingdom, whose members are renowned musicians, singers and a group of distinguished popular and folk oral heritage artists. Mohammed bin Faris Band performs different colorful set of music heritage songs, the most important of which is the art of authentic Sut art and rhythms associated with the ancient pearl trade profession.
