H.E Shaikha Mai Concluded her Visit to South Korean’s Capital, Seoul. And held meetings with the Deputy Speaker of Parliament and a number of officials in charge of the cultural and media sectors

H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, concluded on Tuesday, June 8th, 2021, her four-day high-level to the South Korean capital, Seoul, upon the invitation of the “Korea Foundation”. During this successful trip, H.E met and discussed with ministers and officials in charge of cultural institutions ways to enhance cooperation and mutual cultural exchange programs between the Kingdom of Bahrain and South Korea.

At the end of her visit, H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa met Ms. Kim Sang-Hee Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, and Mr. Oh Se-Hoon, Mayor of Seoul, who is actually leading a pioneering planning to develop and modernize the city, and the President of the famous Chosun Ilbo, a leading, biggest and oldest daily newspaper in South Kore. During these meetings, they discussed ways of developing and enhancing cooperation between Bahrain and South Korea in various cultural fields and best strategic adopted to raise awareness about the importance of culture in society, bringing people together and building bridges of communication between civilizations.

Moreover, H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa's tour of the Korean capital, Seoul, also included meetings with the Korean Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Culture, as well as other meetings with senior officials of cultural institutions, such as the President of the “Korean Foundation, the former Minister of Culture and the chairman of the Galleries Association of Korea and they discussed ways of further accelerating cultural cooperation strategies.
