Her Excellency Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, received the two new Directors of the Authority after the decision by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince Prime Minister, may God protect him, No. 15 for the year 2021. Therefore, it was decreed That Ms. Manal Ali Yousif Al-Doy shall be appointed as Director of Human and Financial Resources, and Ms. Shouq Ismaeel Mahdi Al-Alawi as Director of Handicrafts. H.E Shaikha Mai wished them success in their new duties aiding the Bahraini cultural movement and advancing the work of the Culture Authority.

Worth to mention that Ms. Manal Ali Yousif Al-Doy holds  a bachelor's degree ( BA)  in Accounting from the University of Bahrain,  “ Kawader” Certificate in Government   Leadership Development from  the Institute of Public Administration (BIPA in 2017). Ms. Al-Doy started working with the Ministry of Information as an accountant at the Financial Resources Department, before moving to the Ministry of Culture in 2010 as Responsible for Budget Planning & Implementation. In 2014, she was appointed as Head of Financial Resources Department.

Ms. Shouq Ismaeel Mahdi Al-Alawi graduated with a master’s degree (MA) in Sociology and Cultural Studies, specialized in arts, from Griffith University, Queensland, Australia in 2012 and has a bachelor’s degree (BA) in Bachelor's Degree in Management & Marketing form the University of Bahrain (2003).  Before joining Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, Al-Alawi worked as a Manager - Marketing & Communications at Maalem Holding Company. In addition, she started her professional career in 2003 at the Marketing department at Bahrain Financial Harbour Holding Company. Al-Alawi joined Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities as Arts Curator and Evaluation Specialist, supervising many local and international art projects in cities’ beautification, design food etc.
