H.E Shaikha Mai Receives the Chinese Ambassador

h.e shaikha mai bint mohammed al khalifa, president of the bahrain authority for culture and antiquities, welcomed in her office on 7 september 2021, his excellency mr. anwar habibullah, ambassador of the people’s republic of china to the kingdom of bahrain, to discuss ways of enhancing cultural ties between the two countries, and means to consolidate the cultural and human relations between both friendly nations.

‏during the meeting, h.e shaikha mai praised the historical bahraini-chinese relations and the level of cooperation in many levels and fields, lauding the strong chinese cultural presence in the local scene during the year-long events organized by baca.  in addition, both parties discussed the ongoing efforts to enhance cultural cooperation between the two countries, including the latest developments and progress of work at the bahrain cultural centre in china, under baca’s umbrella, and will serve as a beacon to promote the bahraini civilization and its cultural features. china’s cultural presence in bahrain through the establishment of a chinese cultural centre was also among the topics dealt with in this meeting.

the chinese ambassador expressed thanks and appreciation to the bahrain authority for culture and antiquities led by its president, h.e   shaikha mai bint mohmmed al-khalifa for her endeavours to enrich the cultural movement in the kingdom, and the strenuous efforts deployed to enhance cultural cooperation with his country. his excellency, the chinse ambassador, also expressed his constant readiness to continuously support and cooperate with baca in order to enrich the cultural movement, building bridges of communication between the two nations, and attain more achievements that meet the two friendly peoples’ aspirations in this regard.
