H.E Shaikha Mai Meeting with the Italian Deputy Foreign Minister
H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, met Friday with H.E Mrs. Marina Serini, Italian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in the presence of the Bahraini Ambassador to Italy, Dr. Nasser Mohammed Al Balushi, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building in the Italian capital, Rome.
The two sides discussed ways to enhance cultural exchange between the two countries, focusing on the importance of cultural diplomacy and its role in bridging distances and building bridges of cooperation between the two brotherly peoples.
Moreover, both parties also expressed their keenness for culture to be the first source for consolidating brotherly relations between the two countries, which is manifested in an activity in the fields of culture, restoration and preservation of cultural monuments.
H.E Shaikha Mai, accompanied by Her Excellency Mrs. Serini, visited the art collections of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which are beautifully displayed at the Ministry's building, storytelling the deeply-rooted history of Italian arts.
