Al Jasra Handicrafts Center continues to present amazing creative workshops within its main training program and activities for the year 2022, as many crafts and traditional manual skills are on its list for this month. In fact, the Center, since the beginning of February, has organized three training workshops as follows: Painting on Pottery Dishes, the Arabic calligraphy workshop (first level) and the "Silversmithing for Beginners" workshop. This workshop is concerned with teaching the basics of silversmithing as one of the prominent traditional crafts that depends on the skill of design and implementation in the field of jewelry and ornaments.

Moreover, Al Jasra Handicrafts Center also offers special workshops and an intensive program for traditional Bahraini handicrafts, in order to protect the heritage craft and ensure its continuity. It offers a special workshop for “Al- Naqda” embroidery and another for “Saff - Palm Tree Leaves Weaving” arts and techniques, which is considered one of the most beautiful traditional handicrafts weekly throughout the month of February, after the huge success of “Al-Naqda” workshop last month.

In addition, the traditional crafts and Creative Industries Program will continue to acrry on its workshops ‘program continues, offering four training workshops, which are scheduled to be implemented in the following chronological order: Jewelry-Making Basic Techniques Workshop to be held from 13-17 February, introducing participants to precious metals. It will shed light on jewelry design, as a creative art that is linked to many other fields including engineering, gemstones, metals, colors and many other areas that will help you excel and innovate when you enter the jewelry world. Perfume-making workshop for beginners during the period from 22 to 24 February, which includes introducing beginners to how to make perfumes with various scents, a workshop for making a “a Mosaic Coffee Table (advanced level) for three continuous days from 22 to 24 February 2022, during which participants will be learn about types of mosaic tiles, introduced to types of glue, cutters, shapes, Learn how to follow and cover pattern with mosaic tiles, and learn how to mix grout and fill the gaps. Another workshop, namely hand-block printing, which was held in cooperation with the Kala Foundation for Artistic Design.

In compliance with the precautionary measures to limit the spread of the Corona virus and to protect and preserve the safety of the participants, only vaccinated individuals (two doses) and those who have fully recovered from COVID-19 are allowed to participate. Proof of both must be provided by presenting the green shield via the “BeAware” application, knowing that the seats are limited.
