During a Farewell Heartfelt Memorable Meeting with H.E Shaikha Mai at Bahrain National Museum, sweetest sincere words of thanks and appreciation praise Shaikha Mai's achievements in developing the Bahraini cultural movement
The Bahrain National Museum, hosted on Monday, July 25th, 2022, hosted a memorable outburst of sweetest feelings of gratitude and sincere love addressed to H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammed Al Khalifa. While bidding farewell to a loved and respected leader, the Culture Authority’s employees and a number of prominent cultural figures in the Kingdom of Bahrain expressed their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to H.E for the marvelous works and greatest efforts deployed during her leadership over the past years, which a great and meaningful impact on H.E Shaikha Mai.
Indeed, a number of grateful farewell speeches were delivered, including a speech written by Dr. Al-Taher Labib, a Tunisian Sociologist and Director of the Knowledge Transfer Project, which is managed and pioneered by the Culture Authority, as well as speech by Dr. Muhammad Al-Khuzai, a member of the editorial board of the Bahrain Cultural Magazine issued by the Culture Authority were highly appreciated. Afterwards, a short documentary, enumerating the achievements of H.E Shaikha Mai and prepared by BACA team was screened. In addition, a mural with written words of appreciation and thanks from the authority's employees was also created.
H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, for her part, thanked all the attendees, the staff and cadres of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities for their efforts and tireless work in order to brighten the cultural image of the Kingdom of Bahrain around the world. In addition, H.E pointed out that that the best achievements are only made when the essence and core passion stem from patriotism and true love of one’s country, wishing that the Culture Authority will continue its constant result-based methodology, approach and projects that reflect the rich history and civilization of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
In his words of appreciation speech, Dr. Al-Taher Labib praised the wonderful career engagement and outstanding achievements by H.E Shaikha Mai with regard to contemporary cultural scene in Bahrain. The Arab cultural movement will always remember the achievements of H.E, which contributed to spreading the values of beauty and attracted to the Kingdom thinkers and creators from all over the world, Dr. Labib asserted, concluding his speech, “Shaikha Mai is free idea that will always fly freely in the horizons to enlighten hearts and minds”.
Dr. Muhammad Al-Khuzaie, for his part, thanked in a speech, written on behalf of the editorial board of the Bahrain Cultural Journal, H.E for her support to the magazine and encouragement to develop and enhance its cultural and creative spreading locally and globally. Dr. Al-Kuzaie also lauded the greatest achievements made during H.E leadership, which has certainly boosted and promoted the official and civil national cultural movement in all its facets and variations.
