The Art Center Hosts a Variety of Amazing Workshops until the end of the Month, As part of Bahrain Summer Festival

Faithful festivalgoers will struck a rendez-vous with a beautiful bouquet of a rich program of activities and workshops held at the Arts Center, as part of the 14th Bahrain Summer Festival. The scheduled events can be enjoyed by different family members and will continue until the end of this month between 5:00 and 9:00 pm.

During the next two days, the Arts Center will host the following workshops: children's rights, which are held in cooperation with the National Institution for Human Rights, drawing and coloring on stones, drawing on glass, pottery making, caricature drawing, drawing on wood, wooden boxes and drawing coloring. Participation in these workshops requires pre-registration through the website of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities www.culture.gov.bh

Moreover, the Saudi Heritage Commission will present a number of workshops at the Art Center that seek to introduce the famous handicrafts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, such as the embroidery workshop, the Al-Qatt Al-Asiri craft workshop, the sailing ships workshop and the pottery workshop. In addition to other initiatives, such as the Little Explorer Initiative, which seeks to prepare a generation that is aware of the importance of antiquities. The “Noqush Project” aims to revive the Saudi national heritage represented by rock art and inscriptions on rocks and mountains in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In addition, the Art Center also offers a storytelling corner that takes children on interesting journeys to different worlds with many characters through fun storytelling sessions in templates that mix between entertainment, knowledge and entertainment. The storytelling event activities are organized in cooperation with the Isa Cultural Center with the Saudi Ministry of Culture (Heritage Commission) and the embassy The United Arab Emirates in Bahrain.

In another corner of the Arts Center, festivalgoers can find the children's magazine corner supervised by the Ministry of Interior magazine, Watani. Indeed, Watani magazine has scheduled a set of recreational activities directed at children, and seeks to develop their awareness of their duties as citizens towards the homeland. Copies of the magazine will be distributed to our young visitors at the Arts Center throughout the festival. On the weekends, which are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, the Art Center will host a variety of activities for children such as face painting of Nakhool characters or one of their favorite cartoon icons.
