H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammed Al Khalifa met, on Wednesday 27, July, 20222, with His Excellency Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the newly-appointed President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities. The encounter was held in “Manamat Al Gossaibi”, Fareej Al-Fadhel, in the capital, Manama, which is branch venue established under the mandate of the Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Center for Culture & Research. The meeting comes within the framework of His Excellency Shaikh Khalifa new-appointment as the new President of Bahrain Culture Authority.

At the beginning of the meeting, H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammed Al Khalifa congratulated His Excellency Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa on his new appointment. In addition, H.E Shaikha Mai lauded Shaikh Khalifa’ brilliant as Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Republic of France and his professional career journey at the Culture Authority, was Director of the Department of Museums and Antiquities, wishing him all success in leading BACA. H.E added that Bahrain Culture Authority has had, over the years, enhanced Bahrain’s position on the map of civilized and culturally distinguished countries, walking the path of glory.

For his part, His Excellency Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa thanked Her Excellency Shaikha Mai, praising Shaikha Mai’s memorable greatest deeds achieved when she was head of BACA. Indeed, whether regarding culture, arts, safeguard and preservation of cultural heritage, World Heritage and cultural infrastructure, H.E Shaikha Mai has exceled, His excellency Shaikh Khalifa said. The new president of BACA also asserted that he would follow the same path and continue to implement the plans of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities initiated by H.E Shaikha Mai in order to make Bahrain an icon of fame and promote its status and cultural position advancement levels, regionally and internationally.
