Keen offer an array of interactive high artistic and cultural standards to audiences and participants in the Kingdom, the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities schedules a diverse cultural activity during the month of March 202. Indeed, various sites and venues around the Kingdom will host a number of events, including lectures and workshops suitable for all age groups.
Regarding lectures, the Bahrain Fort Site Museum will host on March 23 a lecture entitled “Waters of Bahrain – Cultural and Natural Heritage.” at 6:00 pm, presented by Ms. Melanie Münzner, Archaeological Heritage Preservation Consultant, and Dr. Reem Al Mealla, a biologist from the Bahrain Institute of Pearls and Gemstones “Danat”.
In addition, the Bahrain National Museum will host a number of workshops that require pre-registration via the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities website www.culture.gov.bh . The beginning was with the “Music Speaks” workshop, which was held in cooperation with Sard Child’s Cultural House, presented by Muhammad Haddad and Rana Hamed on 17 March.
On March 19 at 5:00 pm, a workshop will be held for children between 6 and 12 years, entitled “A Conceptual Drawing of Enkidu”. On March 20, the National Museum celebrates the World Down Syndrome Day and hosts a group of children from the Down Syndrome Care Center on an introductory tour of the Bahrain National Museum and a workshop on cuneiform writing, while on March 24 a “Let’s Draw a Song” workshop will be held for children between 7 and 13 years old. Presented by Muhammad Haddad and Ibrahim Al-Ghanim.
Moreover, the Culture Authority, in cooperation with the French Excavation team, is organizing a tour on March 21 of the archaeological site of Abu Saiba at 4:00 pm. On 30 March , the Culture Authority, in cooperation with the US Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain and "Danat", will organize an event within the "Bahraini Women's Leadership Program" (BWLP), whereby the Muharraq Pearling Path Visitors Center will host a short seminar on "oyster milling" and the process of extracting oyster pearls.
As every Saturday, also, the Culture Authority organizes the “Little Archaeologist” event for children aged 6-12 years, whereby the little ones are offered an opportunity to learn about the techniques of excavation and preservation.
