The Cultural Hall, as part of 31st Bahrain International Music Festival, hosted on 2 October, 2022, an amazing evening of music celebrating the authentic Moroccan heritage performed by the Rabat Troupe for Instrumental Music presented by the Rabat Choir Ensemble for Musical Instruments, in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication in the sisterly Kingdom of Morocco. The concert was attended by a large enthusiastic audience, as well as the presence of diplomatic and cultural figures.
The band took the public in a mystical music journey into the deep souls of Moroccan musical heritage and rhythms of lyrical clips that reflected the creative authenticity of the audio arts in Morocco composed by famous musical figures. The Rabat Choir Ensemble for Musical Instruments was founded in 1987 by the artist Mohamed Amin Al-Dabi, and since that time, the troupe has been able to refine its talents since its foundation and demonstrate its competencies with high professionalism, both inside of Morocco and out, participating at many national and international cultural festivals.. The troupe collaborated with the Moroccan Ministry of Culture on various projects, such as recordings with the artists Ahmed Piro, Abdellatif Benmansour and others.
In addition, the Cultural Hall will host “A Tribute to the Late Mohammed Zowayed by the Bahrain Music Band Conducted by Maestro Zeyad Zaiman, on 4 October at 8:00 pm. Free admission to those who are 8 years-old and above.
The late Mohammed Zowayed was distinguished by his melodious voice, and his songs spread from Bahrain to the Gulf countries, India, Egypt and worldwide. He was known as the "Ambassador of Bahraini Song", leaving his mark in the local artistic heritage. The Late artist worked as a pearl diver in the 1930s and he started his music professional career under his mentor and master, Mohammed Bin Faris who taught him the secrets of eternal Oud playing mechanisms.
Bahrain International Music festival continues to present memorable music nights until the 7th of October, whereby the Cultural Hall will host a performance of traditional Japanese drums, the taiko band and Agaku Miyabi, in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and to celebrate the golden jubilee of diplomatic relations between the two friendly countries. The band will inspire the audience by integrating the loud sounds of taiko drums with other Japanese musical instruments.
The final concert by Palestinian singer “Noel Kharman” will be on 7 October, who is giving her concert for the first time in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The 31st edition of the Bahrain International Music Festival will not miss to entertain lovers with a folk traditional music evening, to be held on October 5 by Ismaeel Dawas Band in Dar Al Muharraq, where the audience at this unique cultural site will be on a date with the famous tunes and folklore in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
As part of the festival 31st edition of the Bahrain International Music Festival, held from 1-7 October 2022, Café Lilou will present a special menu in all branches of the café, reflecting the cultural diversity and musical genres offered by the festival.
