Submissions to Participate in the 49th Bahrain Annual Fine Art Exhibition are now open, Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities has announced
The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities sets stage to organize the 49th edition of Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition, scheduled for January 2023.
The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities has announced that submissions are now open for registration and participation in the 49th Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition. Applicants, whether, Bahraini nationals or residents in Bahrain who are above 18 years-old, are requested to submit their artworks before 15 November 2022.
In the Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition, representing an opportunity to highlight different schools of thought, artists are invited present all forms of artworks, such as painting, photography, graphics, video arts and installation in order to evoke freely and instigate a dialogue about pluralism and artistic visions, experiences and expressions. Their artworks must be authentic, originally masterminded by the artist in less than a year.
Every artist can take part in this art exhibition submitting, either one or many artworks (up to 4 artworks providing it respects ensuring cohesiveness). However, the Selection committee reserves the right to select some or all artworks. Artists can only apply through the Bahrain Authority of Culture and Antiquities’ website www.culture.gov.bh
In addition, the Bahrain Culture Authority, keen to help artists in Bahrain to submit appropriate works of arts that are harmonious with the exhibition’s tendency this year, has pointed out that selection standards will be based on certain standards:
Visual impact, concept, craftsmanship/skill, and composition and design. The selection committee is looking for artwork with unique organization of art elements, content, & execution with ‘outside the box’ thinking and research. The selection committee is looking for work that demonstrates skill, understand of various medium qualities, and has effective use of the principles of design. Finally, the committee will select works with clear innovation.
