The Kingdom of Bahrain Participates in the 27th Session of Muscat International Book Fair With an exceptional bouquet of literary, art and music cultural events for a whole week

The Kingdom of Bahrain has participated in the 27th session of Muscat International Book Fair, which will be held from February 22 to March 7, 2023 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. Indeed, the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth in the Sultanate of Oman, organizes a cultural week entitled "Bahraini Days".

In fact, the "Bahraini Days" week has already kicked off last Saturday under the patronage and presence of His Excellency Sayyid Saeed bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Culture, and the presence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Sultanate of Oman, Dr. Juma bin Ahmed Al Kaabi. The activities of the Bahraini Cultural Week will continue until 2 March 2023.

The starting literary major cultural n the first works of the "Bahraini Days" activities, the Bahraini poet Saleh Yousef presented a poetry evening on Saturday, during which he shed light on his experience with writing and recited a number of his poems. The audience of the exhibition was also on a date with various musical and lyrical performances by the artists Mohammed Asiri and Anbar Fadel.

On 26 February, book launch and sign ceremony was held of the “Sultan Ali bin Hammoud, from the Sultanate to Exile" by Dr. Abdullah Al-Sulaiti at the National Museum in Muscat. After signing the book, Dr. Al-Sulaiti gave a lecture on the content of the book and many aspects that contributed to the Writing and compiling it, it documents an important part of the history of the Sultanate. For his part, Dr. Yousef Mohammed gave a lecture entitled "Bahrain-Omani Relations", in which the focus was on the strength of relations between the two brotherly countries by reviewing important milestones that contributed to strengthening brotherly, civilized and cultural relations.

Worth to mention that the "Bahraini Days" program at the Muscat International Book Fair will run the end of the week, featuring a number of artistic and musical activities, where two musical evenings will be held by artists Muhammad Asiri and Anbar Al-Fadhel. This year, 826 publishing houses from 32 countries are participating in the Muscat International Book Fair in its 27th edition, presenting more than half a million titles and publications. The exhibition presents a rich cultural program with the participation of a number of Arab countries, in addition to the Bahraini Cultural Week entitled "Bahraini Days".
