The Bahrain National Museum welcomed Prince Hussain Aga Khan and documentary photographer Simon Piccoli, where they met a number of his students Schools in Bahrain, in the "Living Sea" exhibition. The amazing marine vibrant photos’ show is hosted by the museum, displaying pictorial works by both Prince Hussain Aga Khan and Piccoli. The friendly encounter aims to give young students and youth, in general, the opportunity to discover the magic wonders of underwater sea worlds, and how to safeguard and preserve their beauty and diversity and to live a unique immersive experience.

Indeed, the Bahraini school students accompanied Prince Hussain on a tour guide of the exhibition halls and were acquainted with the photographic works and video clips, displaying wonderful marine wildlife in Egypt, Mexico and Tonga. The exhibition unravels unique amazing animals such as humpback whales, dolphins, turtles, sharks, giant whale sharks, manta rays, seals, sea lions and more that inhabit coral reefs and the depths of the seas and oceans.

After its successful opening in Venice, Italy, the ‘The Living Sea’ makes its second stop in the Kingdom of Bahrain exclusively. The exhibition is being held in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in cooperation with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, the Arab Regional Center for World Heritage, and collaborated with “Focused on Nature”. The latter is a Swiss association created by Hussain Aga Khan to promote, through photography, awareness of environmental causes and to finance some of the best charities in the world for particular species and ecosystems of interest and marine biodiversity.
