The Bahrain Culture Authority for Culture and Antiquities’ Art Center will continue to welcome participants during the month of June to enjoy a challenging new art experience, The pioneering program of specialized art workshops entitled “Saturday Art Program – Printmaking Studio” presented by Bahraini artist Ali Hassan Mirza. This program comes on the sidelines of the 49th Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition, which is held at the Bahrain National Museum.
Indeed, on June Saturdays, artist Ali Mirza supervised and presented “Printmaking on Fabric Workshop”, whereby participants were introduced to the basics and techniques of this art and how to use it in the manufacture of works of art or combine it with other materials for use in decoration and clothing. In addition, on Saturday, June 17th, participants had a date with a workshop for engraving and printing on wood. Thus, the attendees learned about the methods of drawing shapes on the surfaces of wooden pieces and then removing parts of them to make them prominent using wooden carpentry tools, and then using them in printing using ink to create patterns and repeated forms.
Moreover, and as part of Saturday Art Program – Printmaking Studio”, artist Ali Hassan Mirza will present, a workshop on engraving and printing on laino. Worth to mention that the 49th edition of the Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition is still being held at the Bahrain National Museum will run until 10 July 2023. Indeed, the exhibition galleries, containing different art schools with over 100 artworks including 55 Bahraini and resident artists.The exhibition works range from paintings, sculptures, installation works, photography, video and other forms of artistic expression that include various materials and techniques and belong to different international art schools.
