The Bahrain National Theatre held the first event of the Saudi National Orchestra & Choir on 6 October 2023 as part of the 32nd Bahrain International Music Festival. Indeed, a full-house show, 1,000 seats filled theater took the audience into a journey to explore the most important auditory arts of Saudi melodies and songs, as part of the Gulf Music and Folk Arts Festival, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain in collaboration with the Secretariat General of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
In addition and in response to the increasing requests by the Bahrain Music Festival lovers, and their desire to enjoy the exceptionally mesmerizing Saudi music concert live performance again, the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities is pleased to inform all that a second orchestra concert is scheduled for October 8, 2023.
Worth to mention that the Saudi National Orchestra and Choir were established in 2021, comprising more than 70 musicians and choir members and was the first national cultural asset to be developed by the Music Commission. Their goal is to support and promote the image of Saudi culture on the global and Arab stages while strengthening international cultural exchange between the Kingdom and other countries. Indeed, the ensemble performed in many cities around the world, including Paris, New York, and Mexico City, before landing this time in Manama.
Indeed, the festival events started on 1 October will continue until the October 20th, featuring amazing music evenings and concerts from the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Gulf states, the Arab world and the world, to be held at various locations in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities would like to express sincere thanks to all parties who have contributed to the success of this edition of the festival, namely first GCC Secretariat and the embassies of the following countries, such as the embassy of Italy, India, China, and Germany.
