On Saturday, 8 February 2025, Manama welcomes a new week of From the Post, transforming into a vibrant hub where participants can explore its cultural, administrative, and commercial history throughout the 20th century. Running from 9 AM to 9 PM, the program includes tours, workshops, and interactive discussions that highlight Manama’s pivotal role in shaping Bahrain’s modern identity. This initiative is part of the 19th edition of the Spring of Culture Festival.

The second week, titled Manama of Administration, features a diverse cultural program starting at 9 AM with the History of Administration in Manama tour, led by Fuad Al Shakar. Gathering at the Post Office Museum, the tour narrates the story of administration in Manama and the establishment of modern state institutions, shedding light on its historic administrative buildings.

At 10 AM, the museum will host the Administration Calligraphy workshop, led by Abdulaziz Al Ebrahim at Arena Speciality Coffee. Running until 12 PM, the session will focus on Arabic calligraphy, drawing inspiration from the administrative signage and texts used in Manama during the 20th century.

Afternoon activities kick off with the Coffee Making workshop from 12:30 to 2:30 PM, featuring Nakatsuka-San, CEO of CAFEC Japan. Held at Arena Speciality Coffee within the Post Office Museum, the session introduces CAFEC’s brewing philosophy, innovative products, and insights in an interactive experience that contributes to Bahrain’s evolving coffee culture. Registration is required via Instagram: @arenacoffee.bh.
At 3 PM, the Administrative Buildings Photography tour, led by Hussain Al Mosawi and Maryam Al Arab, invites participants to capture professional photographs of Manama’s historic administrative architecture, starting from the Post Office Museum.

In the evening, at 6 PM, the Post Office Museum will host a discussion titled Manama’s Past and Present, featuring Taqi Al Baharna, a prominent figure in Bahrain’s literary, trade, and administrative history. The day concludes with a performance by Shabab Al Hidd Band from 7 to 9 PM opposite Bab Al Bahrain, showcasing traditional Bahraini arts such as Al Ardha, Al Fjiri, and Al Sawt, celebrating the nation’s rich folkloric heritage.
Throughout the program, From the Post will also feature the Memory of Manama exhibition daily opposite Bab Al Bahrain, offering a glimpse into Manama’s 20th-century history with a focus on the buildings and roads that shaped its enduring identity.

Additionally, this year, the Post Office Museum terrace hosts Arena Speciality Coffee, open Sunday to Wednesday from 9 AM to 6 PM and Thursday to Saturday from 9 AM to 9 PM. Parking for Saturday’s activities is available at Yateem Centre and Al Hedaya Plaza.
