As Part of the 19th Spring of Culture Festival, Opening of “The Palm Leaf Exhibition” at the Art Centre – Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities – on Thursday
The Art Centre, under the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, hosts the opening of “The Palm Leaf Exhibition” on Thursday, 9 January 2025. Organised in collaboration with the Children and Mothers Welfare Society and Makan Art Gallery, the exhibition is part of the 19th Spring of Culture Festival.
Showcasing works by a selection of renowned Bahraini artists, the exhibition will run until 18 January and will be open daily from 9 AM to 8 PM.
With a meaningful humanitarian message, “The Palm Leaf Exhibition” features artworks created using paper from palm fronds, handcrafted by skilled Bahraini artisans of the Children and Mothers Welfare Society. These unique works, ranging from paintings to collages, address important social issues within Bahraini society. All proceeds from the exhibition will be dedicated to supporting the Children and Mothers Welfare Society and its Women’s Training Centre for Paper Crafts.
The 19th Spring of Culture Festival continues through the end of February, offering a vibrant and diverse program of art exhibitions, performances, musical evenings, lectures, tours, cultural activities, workshops, and more.
