As Part of the 19th Spring of Culture Festival, From the Post Returns for Its 3rd Edition Starting 1 February

Returning to the alleys and historic streets of Manama, the cultural program From the Post launches its third edition from the Post Office Museum, opposite Bab Al Bahrain in Manama. The event begins on Saturday, 1 February 2025, inviting the public to a full day of activities from 9 AM to 9 PM.

Held as part of the 19th Spring of Culture Festival, From the Post takes place every Saturday throughout February. It aims to strengthen the connection between the public and Manama’s rich culture and heritage, encouraging them to rediscover the city, its history, markets, old neighbourhoods, arts, and architecture.

Each week of this special program carries a theme that shapes its activities, which include guided tours, photography sessions, artistic experiences, discussions, and traditional folklore. The first week is titled Connections of Manama, followed by Administration of Manama, then Commerce of Manama, and concluding with Architecture of Manama.

The first week, organised in collaboration with the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence, starts on Sunday 1 February, and focuses on Manama as a unique example of coexistence and cultural interaction. The city has long welcomed travellers and explorers, due to its strategic location in the heart of the Arabian Gulf, and its port has historically been a hub of movement and exchange.

The opening day begins with the Manama for All tour that explores Manama’s religious landmarks at 9 AM, followed by the Live Outdoor Painting: Manama Canvas at 10 AM. In the afternoon, visitors can take part in the photography tour at Minaret Al Fadhel before attending an evening discussion on Interfaith Dialogue, featuring Yousif Salahuddin at 6 AM. The day concludes with a performance of traditional folklore by Ismaeel Dawas Band.

This year, the Post Office balcony will also host Arena Café, welcoming visitors throughout the festival. The café will be open from Sunday to Wednesday between 9 AM and 6 PM, and from Thursday to Saturday between 9 AM and 9 PM.
