The Bahrain National Museum has inaugurated the exhibition “Cultural Assets: Ibrahim Yousif Hassan Al Hassan Collection,” in the presence of officials from the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, members of the Al Hassan family, and a number of cultural figures and enthusiasts from across the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The exhibition presents a valuable selection of cultural artefacts from the Al Hassan family, including historical documents, manuscripts, traditional tools, and rare coins.
The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities affirmed that the preservation of the Kingdom’s cultural heritage is a shared responsibility. The Al Hassan family’s generous donation of this collection to the Bahrain National Museum reflects their commitment to safeguarding national heritage for future generations and stands as a commendable example of meaningful community partnership.
This exhibition is the result of collaboration between the Authority and the Al Hassan family, one of Muharraq’s most prominent pearl-trading families, who donated the collection to the museum. The artefacts originally belonged to the family’s great-grandfather, al tawash (pearl merchant) Hassan bin Ibrahim Ahmed Al Hassan (1887–1982).
