13 March 2025 "Gathering at the Pearling Path" Cultural Program Launched in Muharraq Amidst the Special Atmosphere of the Holy Month of Ramadan

Amidst the special atmosphere of the Holy Month of Ramadan and the rich heritage of Muharraq, the cultural program "Gathering at the Pearling Path" was launched on Monday evening at the Pearling Path Visitor and Experience Centre, attracting a large number of visitors and families.

Running daily until 20 March, the program offers a variety of musical evenings, workshops, cultural activities, and culinary experiences that capture the essence of the holy month. Events will take place from Sunday to Wednesday, from 9 PM to 12 AM, and from Thursday to Saturday, from 9 PM to 1 AM.

Organised by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities during the holy month of Ramadan, the program coincides with the launch of the Ramadan in Bahrain events calendar by the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority.

The Pearling Path Visitor and Experience Centre will serve as the central hub for many of the activities. Throughout the program, the sounds of authentic Bahraini music will fill the air, with performances by emerging local artists and traditional folk bands, including Mohammed bin Faris Band, Jasim Mallalla, Jassim Jawad, Ahmed Salmeen, Mubarak Ali, Mansoor Faisal, Nasser Al Mansoor, Mohammed Aseeri, and many more.

The workshops will host a variety of activities for audiences of all ages, such as making Quran bookmarks, creating Ramadan-inspired collages, crafting decorations and Gergaoon bags, painting crescent moons, and designing Islamic mosaic patterns.

Visitors can also enjoy an array of culinary experiences, featuring popular traditional dishes often enjoyed during the holy month. Activities will extend beyond the Visitor Centre, with several cultural activation sites hosting some of Bahrain’s leading cafés and restaurants, including Dar Amana, Bait Nasser, and Higher Grounds, among others.

As part of the accompanying events, the Haneen Sedra exhibition will be open daily throughout the program, from 10 AM to 3 PM and from 8:30 PM to 12:30 AM, showcasing a diverse collection of rare and vintage artefacts. While Amarat Fakhro will host the Muharraq Auction on Thursday, 13 March, from 9 PM to 12 AM.

The program will also feature two Gergaoon celebrations with the Qalali Folk Band and children, on 13 and 14 March, from 9 PM to 11 PM, walking from Al Ghus House to Al Jalahma House. Additionally, an event commemorating the Farewell of Ramadan (W’daa) will take place on 28 March, with families and visitors walking from Al Ghus House to Fakhro House, from 12:30 AM to 1:30 AM.

The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities has made all necessary arrangements to facilitate access to the events. Multi-storey car parks will be available near Bin Matar House, Fakhro House, and Al Alawi House, with valet parking services available near Bin Matar House and Fakhro House.
